Step One: Shake the jiffy pop over a hot fire
Step two: watch the jiffy pop puff up and listen to oooh's and aaah's from those sitting around the campfire. Keep shaking until kernals stop jiffy-popping.
Step three: Open to perfectly popped popcorn: enjoy the yumminess!
This process requires: patience and enthusiasm... or maybe somebody just a little crazy like our "E" who had entirely way too much fun popping the jiffy pop!
We had a very fun weekend with my side of the family. We camped out at Oak Grove for the weekend. The fires were a highlight... from Eric's excitement over jiffy pop to Heather shouting that Jack was on fire when she meant to say he had a hot coal stuck to his forehead. This apparantly led to mass chaos with Courtney and Eric rushing to his rescue and swallowing him up in a camp chair in a panic while daddy (aka: Marc) continued to calmly roast his marshmallow unaffected by the fact Heather said Jack was on fire. That's my Marcus. He claims he knew Jack was not on fire. Anyway, Jack is happy because Auntie Heather felt soo bad she promised him the Michael Jackson Thriller CD (jack loves Michael Jackson) and she promised him an ipod too. I'm not quite sure how that developed but Jack was smiles from ear to ear for the remainder of the evening. He hugged her before turning in for the night and then told her he loved her and I'm quite sure her heart leapt out of her body. Good memories and sooo much laughter. My family is crazy but I sure do love them all!
