Highlights from our week

Lovin life at the Cottage this rowboat tucked in the weeds looks so peaceful. Peaceful would describe our week.
Relaxed and peaceful
We had so much fun playing volleyball, baseball, badminton, paddleball, bocce ball, swimming, sea-dooin', tubin', jumping on the pod, jumping off the dock, hanging with friends and cousins, fishing, swinging on the disc swing, campfires, makin' smores, reading books, screaming about a tarantula size spider, walks along the lake, paddleboat rides, fireworks and sparklers, listening to bullfrogs and enjoying quiet mornings with coffee while gazing out at the peaceful lake...Yeah it was a great week!
my 3 guys just hanging out on the paddleboat, looking out at the lake

Fire-starting 101
Jack is nervous but excited to be helping start the campfire. Marc is such a good daddy, always patient in teaching.

Luke has a flame and did a great job starting the fire he built

When a fire needs to be built... Just Do It!

Jaeger hauls the wood to start the fire

Jack and Uncle Mike... we love uncle Mike... he is soo much fun.
We are so thankful to still have him here with us after his massive heart-attack last year.

Oh my gosh, I could not get enough of these sweet baby birds.
There were four brand new little babies in a nest in the wreath by the cottage porch.
They were so cute and really kinda ugly all at the same time...
HAPPY 4th Of JULY
love this shot of jack... it captures all the glory of the 4th!
Sparkler time

love the distinct smell of sparklers, it is the official smell of July 4th to me...
love the sparkle and the glow and the sizzle... absoulutely love the 4th!

Jaeger dazzles mom with his sparkler

Fireworks over Diamond Lake is just one of the great things of spending the 4th on the Lake. There is also a boat parade and the ring of fire and fun and laughter.
