the weekend started out with me teaching my water aerobics class at the Y and struggling with a dry cough while yelling out things like "big white water, C'mon kick" or "breastroke down and back" or "wall jumps - 1 minute"... the cough nagged me all morning...
next on the Saturday morning agenda was soccer games, cold soccer games... we arrived at the fields ready for Jaeger to play but the opposing team never showed, so off to McDonald's we went with Grandma and Grandpa to indulge in warm coffee, cinnamon rolls, egg mcmuffins and juice. the cough decided to tag along.
home long enough to grab lunch and then off to Jack's game... it began to drizzle... cold rain for the 5th or 6th week in a row... i am begining to feel exhausted... but i still make it to the grocery store after jack's game and when i finally arrive home... i crash...
i climb into flannel pajama bottoms and now my body begins to ache and my throat hurts, it is hard to swallow, i feel miserable. i end the day buried under blankets, watching a movie.
Sunday i sleep in and wake up still feeling like i was hit by a Mac truck. i make coffee hoping to feel a little more alive... no such luck, i feel whooped. So Sunday was bedhead and flannel pajama bottoms all day long. It was reading in bed and then napping... it was snuggling under fleece blankets, sitting at the computer... it was cough drops and orange juice - lots and lots of orange juice.
i did manage to make my family supper. warm white chili bubbled in the crockpot...the guys gobbled it up, except Jack who still wins the title of "pickiest little eater in the world"
i would not have chosen to be sick this weekend, i had alot on the to do list that never got done but when you get slammed with a bug it does force you to slow down, to sleep, to stop all the rushing and rest and maybe that is what this girl needed... to stop rushing and rest!

I think I have the same thing... spent Sunday the same way you did. The saddest thing is that I'll miss your class tonight... :(
