Weekending

the weekend summed up in one word was... SOCCER

Saturday was up at 4:30 driving in the dark and watching the sun rise

it was 4 games, fleece blankets, coffee, a potluck and friends...

it was freezing and windy, there were wins and losses...

it was 11 hours long before we drove back home.

Sunday was up at 5:30 and the drive was beautiful...

the sun shone brightly and fog hung heavy in the fields...

Sunday brought more soccer, more excitement...

there were goals made and penalty kicks and a shoot out...

there were nerves, cheering... times of sitting at the edge of your seat...

the sun warmed our skin and was such welcome relief from the cold of Saturday...

it was 8 more hours at the tournament until we headed home at 5:30...

it was coming home wind-burned one day and sunburned the next...

it was chapped lips, sore legs, muddy knees and exhaustion...

but it sure was fun... we LOVE soccer!
